Well-being Challenges

So far, the furo.fit team has been organizing fitness challenges and holding them for the employees of various companies. Challenge Framework is a tool that will allow organizations to host challenges and wellness programs on their own.

Imagine the HR/employee of a company creating two challenges : Lets meditate 10 mins every day for 10 days ; 14 day-100k step challenge.

What do we wish to accomplish?

A business perspective

Autonomy

Challenge Framework increases the autonomy required to run challenges. Meaning, we could onboard more Clients without additional manpower.

Diversify

This diversifies our offerings and can potentially increase engagement especially during the quieter months. This will help us position our Product as a valuable annual offering.

What do we wish to accomplish?

A psychological perspective

Belongingness

A Participant should feel a sense a belongingness. When she subconsciously assesses or interacts with other participants, she should feel like I’m one of them.

Growth

A Participant should be able to track and perceive growth. The metric for tracking growth should not be limited to comparing one’s progress with others.

No Judgement

A Participant should feel that this challenge community is a no judgement space.

Design Approach

Focus on core functionalities

We prioritized a lean approach, emphasizing core features that drive user engagement. This meant simple challenges with clear benefits, alongside tools to monitor progress and celebrate achievements.

Prioritize user experience

By keeping the initial challenges straightforward and individually focused, we aim to keep the users hooked with motivators like accomplishment and growth.

Addressing use cases (3 of many)

To ensure a comprehensive and engaging user experience, I designed screens for various use cases. This included anticipating edge cases,

such as the initial state of a streak leaderboard before any users have established streaks.

This not only fosters a sense of anticipation but also sets user expectations for future interactions within the product.

Also, in case of ‘zero-states’, the design wouldn’t look incomplete.
